COSY DOUBLE ROOM
The Hostelrie has one cosy double room, which is on the first floor. The room is en suite, has a walk in shower & Bramley toiletries. In the room there is complimentary tea & coffee, free Wi-Fi & a flatscreen television. This room is on the cosier side & therefore is the one room at the Hostelrie which regretfully is not dog friendly.

Excellent place to visit
The Hostelrie, now owned by Kate and David, is a beautiful place to stay.
The food and wine are excellent, great atmosphere, the staff friendly and professional. Lovely bar area.
First visit but won’t be my last.

Excellent dinner
Excellent food freshly prepared with good wine and Wye Valley IPA. We do hope that the new owners, their refurbishment and interesting menus prove a success. The garden looked delightful for summer drinking and eating if summer ever arrives!

Great stay - can’t wait to return
We couldn’t wait to visit as soon as overnight restrictions were lifted.Having been before we were blown away to see the changes-the new owners have extensively and rather beautifully refurbished this interesting and rather quirky building.
Beds were super comfortable (exceptionally soft pillows) and breakfast excellent in the lovely light dining room looking out over the garden. Local sausages deserve special mention; they were really delicious
Service was excellent although the owner, Katherine, did say that like the whole hospitality industry they were struggling to find sufficient staff to cope with the surge in bookings.
We really enjoyed our stay- the surrounding area provides delightful walks and the views are to die for.
Will be back very soon

Perfect spot to Weil away a Sunday afternoon
We had such a lovely Sunday lunch here, ended up staying much longer than planned. Very attentive staff, great beer and wine list (ask the manager who is a sommelier!) Also highly recommend the risotto. Lovely atmosphere. Thank you!

After walk lunch.
The best pint of Wye Valley HPA if ever had. If you want a place to try real ale at it's best look no further than here. We had great beer lovely food all in a olde worlde pub. If i'm ever in the area again I will make a point of dropping in.

Nice hotel
Visited for two nights with another couple.
Rooms were spacious but retaining character of the building.
Dinner was good. Breakfast was plentiful.
Staff were polite.
£12 cab ride to Ross on Wye.
Nice place to stay.

Absolutely brilliant
We were bought some vouchers last Christmas by our children, we would of used the before now but due to covid, left them a little later, but were very glad to stumble on this hotel, evening meals were very good,as said previously on here the menu isn't vast but being a restaurant owner in these current times it is hard to keep a vast amount in, just in case of another shutdown, breakfast was very good too, all being sourced locally,as were the ales. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly and coped very well, the bedrooms wernt over large but cosy and clean,if you are wanting somewhere to get away from the normal hustle and bustle this is a lovely place and area, but you will really require a car to get about, but plenty of things to do if you look for them, we hopefully will return without hesitation, thanks to all the team,10/10

Evening meal with family
We visited on 27th August 2020 for an evening meal. The 2 staff were very welcoming and the food was excellent. They were very busy but worked well as a team, everyone was treated with great service. Well done, we look forward to coming again.

Very pleasant indeed - friendly staff
The room was lovely although the bed perhaps a little small. Welcome was well managed and we were well briefed on COVID protocols. My only reservation was that the menu was quite restricted and the food was nothing special, but it was homemade. The dining room was a little cold and felt as if it could benefit from some soft furnishings or lighting to create a warmer atmosphere, but overall the stay was a very positive one. I would definitely go there again if in the area as it is by far a better experience that others close by.
